Fidgets - Keeps Them Moving

It was a wonderful Sunday morning.. We all slept till 9am and woke up to prepare for our Sunday outing.. We've planned to bring Alvis baby to Fidgets and I knew he will love it.

It's located at Turf City, the journey there was pretty far but it was totally worth the distance travelled. Hubby took a wrong exit but we still managed to reach there before we became weary of the ride. :)

Finally we got there!

Photobucket

You don't have to worry about parking, the carpark has like unlimited lots! haha..

We headed in eagerly.. Put on our socks.. :)

Photobucket

and was all ready to play!!

The bigger area for the older kids..
Photobucket

For the little ones..
Photobucket

Photobucket

As usual, baby loves the color balls..

Photobucket

I'm going up!
Photobucket

On his own..
Photobucket

Photobucket

but stuck halfway, cuz he was afraid of walking thru that 'bridge' with holes! haha
Photobucket

a very helpful boy helped him.. :)

Photobucket

I love to see him socializing with other kids.. :)

Photobucket

BUT

he didn't dare to come down the slide la! hahahhaa
Photobucket

my timid boy. but it's alright, i rather he be a little timid than to be all rowdy and rough. hehe..

We moved on to the Little Tikes section..
Photobucket

The last time he played with these rides were at Julia Gabriel.. haha..
He loves these!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Lazy to use his legs, he told me to push him.. -.-"
Photobucket

I was more than happy to la! haha
Photobucket

I hope he was having fun!
Photobucket

My precious..

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

A little girl hijacked his ride! hahaha..

Photobucket

Photobucket

I told him to give up the car to the girl for a while and he listened! :)

So he went back to the other ride. good boy. so proud of him! :)

Photobucket

Little things like this please me. At least he was willing to share.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Still loves balls..
Photobucket

Photobucket

After awhile, we got bored of the Little Fidgets corner so we moved over to the bigger playground to check it out.

It was FUN!

I played like a little kid while Hubby snapped away. Alvis baby was super excited, so was I.
Photobucket

Our butts.. :P

Photobucket

Photobucket

We had to go through this and I could get through them easily!!

Photobucket

Helping Alvis baby through first..
Photobucket

Then..

He laid there and refused to move and called for me!

Photobucket

Mommieeeeee~~~~~~~!!!

Photobucket

LOL.
Me and Hubby looked at each other and laughed. SO I went to pick him up!

Photobucket

Down the slide we went! It was super steep and I must admit I was pretty scared myself, but it was very fun to feel the strong wind at your face.

Photobucket

After this, Hubby kept his camera and joined in the fun. 3 of us conquered the obstacles together, up the hurdles and down the slide. We laughed at each other and we had a great work-out! Alvis baby was happy, and so were we.

We had lunch there and enjoyed the food. We left after that as needed to get Alvis baby home to nap cuz we had to attend baby chloe's shower in the evening and I needed to prepare Alvis' dinner.

Before we left Turf City, went to look at these remote-controlled car-race..
Photobucket

Alvis' eyes were glued to the track. :P

Photobucket

He said "Bye" and "See you soon" to the cars and we left..

Photobucket

It was a great day out. We all enjoyed ourselves and will definitely go back there very soon again. <3

Love days like this, love happy times, love my 2 darlings, love my life. :)

July! We're half way thru 2010!!!

I'm waiting for the meat to thaw to prepare Alvis' dinner.. We just came back from Fidgets and I thought I can blog abit now else tonight's post will be pretty heavy.. (Just have to make sure I stay alert as the I'm boiling water at the same time.. :P)

Yesterday was pretty mood-dampening.. I was so ready to bring Alvis baby out. It rained right from morning. I had to go to the market alone and buy breakfast back for my two darlings. Usually we would eat out together. After lunch, Alvis baby napped and I prepared his dinner. Hubby was on afternoon shift so we had only the 2 of us in the evening. Alvis baby had rice with corn + baby ribs + potato soup, together with steamed egg + tomatoes. He loved his dinner so much that he kept saying "多一口" even though his stomach was bursting and his little pot of rice was gone. I had to scraped everything that was left for his many "last mouth"s but I was smiling to myself, satisfied and happy. I praised him for his good appetite. :)

This was just I think 1/10 of his egg+tomato dish! hahaha.. Yes he really ate alot!
Photobucket

Playing with his cars after dinner.. while I was deciding to go out or not..
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

TOY STORY 2 was showing on Disney Channel...
Photobucket

Concentrate on my mobiles...
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Explaining to me what he was doing with his Lamborghini Reventon..
Photobucket

Photobucket

Super multi-tasking: Talking to me, eyes on the TV, hands on the elevator with his Reventon on it.
Photobucket

Photobucket

I think he was frowning, I dont know why..
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

I love his love for cars.. So like his Daddy, and definitely I prefer him to like cars than motorbikes. More like I only want him to like cars! hahahha..

Photobucket

Bored, I decided to bring Alvis baby out though it was still kinda wet but rain had stopped. We went to Junction 8 and browsed books at Popular.. Then took the train to town to wait for Daddy. It was already 9.30pm when we boarded train but I wasn't worried of bedtime as Alvis baby napped 3 hours last afternoon. I know he would be fine to sleep at 10+pm.

Happy to see his Daddy outside the boutique again.. It was a simple Saturday but we had lotsa laughters still.

Up next - Post on our Fidgets adventure! Stay tuned! :D

Alvis baby's final vaccination with DR. Low

Today was Alvis baby's last vaccination schedule with DR. Low... It was for his 2nd dose of Hepatitis A.

Appointment was at 12.30pm, initially wanted to go to Henderson Waves in the morning but we were a little behind schedule, so we skipped that. :)

Went to 幸福饮茶 at International Building for our lunch.. Was craving for dim-sum and didn't want to have Crystal Jade cuz kinda bored with it already.. :P
It was less crowded at 幸福饮茶 and I would say we definitely think that they serve better dim sum! Even their fried rice wasn't oily and service was good.

Our cute handsome darling

with his new haircut. :)
Photobucket

Mommy's boy
Photobucket

My big boy. 27months already. Cannot believe it.
Photobucket

Photobucket

When asked to take a photo with Daddy, the boy in his terrible-twos stage pushed the Daddy away...
Photobucket

"YOU GONNA GET IT FROM ME"
Photobucket

"UH-OH BETTER ACT PITIFUL...."
Photobucket

Food can make him one obedient boy..
Photobucket

"Daddy, peanut very nice leh" (yea, with the 'leh')
Photobucket

"OK! I can take photo with Daddy already!"
Photobucket
My two super precious. <3

Strongly recommend their har-kau, char siew buns, egg tarts.. the usual dim sum but definitely one of the best..
Photobucket

He was munching his char siew bun, yummy stuff..
Photobucket

Photobucket

Folding his arms, imitating Pocoyo when he was angry...
Photobucket

Watch too much tv, sometimes abit over-drama mama.. heh heh..

"I want to hold the camera!"
Photobucket

Yea, dream on. As if Daddy would let you touch it. hahahaha... The old spoilt one maybe, but definitely not this one.

Finished our lunch at a comfortable pace, then walked over to Paragon for 12.30pm appointment.. Like that warm feeling of being greeted with the familiar faces.. it's been 2 years already.. Ever since the day Alvis was born, DR. Low has always been there.. I still can remember the day after I delivered, DR. Low came into our ward and introduced himself. His humble smile and sincerity, I felt it right from Day 1. That is why I decided to stick with him, for all the so many vaccination, compulsory and optional ones, and not forgetting the times when Alvis baby fell sick, we traveled the distance to consult him too.

I can also never forget how he showed his care and concern for Alvis baby when he was merely 1-2months old.. He caught a flu virus, was coughing and phlegmy. We were heartbroken, upset and worried. We stayed at Thomson Medical Centre for 4days with Alvis baby and put him under DR. Low's observation. Couldn't thank him enough for his medical advices, assurance and support during that period of time. I must admit I couldn't had felt more assured and am still very grateful today.

I will also always remember the countless times I called up the clinic when Alvis baby was unwell, to ask this and that, and Regina (the staff at the clinic) and DR. Low would do all they can to assure me and answer to my questions, and also call me back to ask if Alvis was better.

As we walked into his consultation room today, as usual, we were greeted by his warm smile and humble voice.. I always like the way he interacts with Alvis baby, how he, through his questions and actions, try to find out on Alvis baby's growth development.. Never was he stern nor harsh.. Alvis baby was a little shy, but still able to converse with DR. Low and with all the distractions, that needle went right in. Alvis baby turned to look at his thigh, as DR. Low pasted that big bright blue Mickey Mouse plaster on his chubby thigh, and he looked away, without a sound. Both me and Hubby were proud, and very pleased. DR. Low's words to Alvis baby was "You are so brave!"

Alvis baby hugged DR. Low, shook his hands and thanked him. We are very honoured and thankful that we have him as Alvis' PD.

There, Alvis baby was issued this Certificate of Vaccination upon completion. The next jab will be when he's 6 years old and the staff at the clinic told me that will be done in school.

Thank you, DR. Low. You are the best!

First Rice Meal I Prepared For A...

It's the first rice meal I prepared for A but definitely not his first rice meal of course. He has been having rice for his dinners at my ah-yi's place.. I was there the evening my cousin went back to Jakarta, so I fed Alvis baby his rice dinner and I can tell how much he enjoys his food..

I've always prepared his porridge on weekends, until these 2 weekends, he started to get bored with his porridge towards the end of his meals.. He would usually eat quite alot of porridge, but lately I've noticed the obvious change. It's not a bad change though. He's a growing boy and I'm glad he has learnt to eat rice and is taking it very well.. of course because my ah-yi is a good cook. :)

So today, I've decided to give it a try. I don't cook that often and before I was married, I totally didn't cook at all. Yea, like a pampered spoilt princess. haha. I was pretty nervous today. I didn't want to fail and I didn't want to see Alvis baby not enjoy his dinner. I sourced for recipes, ideas on preparing healthy dishes. I even started very early, like at 3+pm!

First, I prepared his soup. I feel that soup is very important to complete a balanced and nutritious meal. I wanted to do ABC Soup but if you know me, I am usually a little 'greedy'. When preparing Alvis baby's porridge, I always drown the whole pot with ingredients, you can't barely see the rice grains.. So besides potatoes, carrots in his ABC soup, I've added celery, baby pork ribs, pumpkin. The soup tasted heavenly. :)

While waiting for the soup to boil and simmer, I steamed his rice. Turned out to be a little wet though, but I'm sure it's better than too hard else he might have a hard time chewing..

Lastly, it was the steam fish.. It's always either cod fish, salmon or threadfin for Alvis baby. I feel salmon taste best when baked, so Alvis baby doesn't eat alot of salmon. More of cod fish and threadfin.. I placed carrot strips and small pieces of organic xiao bai cai together with some shitake mushrooms on top of the slice of threadfin and steam at high temperature for about 10-15minutes.

Alvis baby loves the steam fish with the veggies, he finished the rice and that dish. Didn't finish the soup cuz too big pot I've prepared. :P

Baby, mommy's really proud of you today, like always! <3

Mommy will learn more healthy recipes to prepare more nutritious meals for you darling. :)

Proud of you, son!

Alvis baby had used to dislike hair-cut sessions, he cried, weeped, wriggled, protested each time we brought him for a haircut..

Today, he really made me and hubby very very pleased and proud.
He only slightly protested at the door of the salon, said "No" once and he willingly let me carried him into the salon.
I sat him on the armchair, after which the hairdresser brought a booster seat and I told him that he's now a big boy and he needs to sit on that chair alone without mommy hugging onto him, and that jie-jie will give him a handsome haircut and he must not move.

He also willingly let the hairdresser put on that cape over him and he grinned at himself in the mirror. To reward his well behavior, he was given Daddy's iPhone to watch Pocoyo during the haircut. :)

He didn't move his butt a single inch and didn't make any noise throughout. When I asked him to look into his reflection and if he liked his hairstyle, he nodded his head and gave me his most charming smile.

Not only these, he thanked the hairdresser and walked out of the salon proudly. He knew he had done a great job.

Baby, Daddy & Mommy are very proud of you today. Mommy must blog this down so that we will always remember the scene at the salon today, you in that cape full of fishes, I know you like it. :)

Looks like we can make more frequent visits to the hairdresser now, and Mommy no longer has to fear that you'll make a big scene at the salon and I no longer have to hug you and get all the hair stuck in my shirt anymore.

Love you darling, big kiss from Daddy & Mommy, MUACKS!
