Family Time = Quality Time = Happy Time

Alvis loves cars as much as his daddy.. We went to town to wait for the daddy to finish work that day and he spotted two Lamborghini(s) at Mandarin Hotel and he was elated.

It was just the green superleggera at first..

By the way, it was already evening time, the sun has set, and he still insisted on wearing his shades.

look like future super racer?

The orange Gallardo came along when we were snapping. Alvis stood there seeing the valet took place quietly, watching the wheels closely.

He would be over the moon if he could sit in one. No joke.

Anyhow, days at home with Alvis are fulfilling. I prepare his meals, bring him out for walks, and playground fun on days with good weather.

Happy sliding.

then he spotted something in the sky

haha, i think it's the first time he saw something like that. He was indeed very curious and asked me many questions and kept looking back at the sky to check if it's still there.

Last Wednesday was Hubby's off day. We went to Go-Go-Bambini in the late morning. One thing good about visiting indoor playgrounds on weekdays morning is that it's literally empty. Alvis was the only toddler there.. We got bored of indoor playground pretty quickly, had some light bites there and left the place just in time for Alvis' nap. As we were deciding to head home or to stay out, we were on our way to Sembawang Shopping Centre. I reckon that's the only mall that we've not been to since it's opened. haha!

Hubby and I spent nearly a good 2 hours strolling in the mall while Alvis napped, with most of the time in Daiso checking out cool stuff at $2. Once little A woke up from his nap, we went to the Splash Park. Again, we were the only family there at the playground.

We had more fun at the FOC playground though.

As much as I enjoy spending time with Alvis at home while hubby goes to work, I look forward to each and every of his off days.. Because nothing beats spending time together as a family.. The laughter and joy we share being together is nothing that I will exchange for in the world.

We are going to the Universal Studio for the 2nd time tomorrow! This time round, my sis and her bf are going with us as well. I'm so excited and I know we're sure gonna have a great day!

Good night peeps! & happy weekend!

Monday Blues NOT!

Trying to do a quick post here before Alvis has his dinner.. The little boy is now playing with his cars and trains beside me on the sofa, and all I hear is crashing of the vehicles and his non stop mumblings to himself..

Anyhow, yesterday was a so not blue Monday. I've never had such a happy Monday in a long time! It was hubby's off day and we had planned to go cycling with Alvis baby. It was a perfect family outing. <3

I forgot my camera, and hubby only used his dslr very minimally cuz he was riding with Alvis.. Thus only a few photos taken by my iPhone..

My two darlings..

Photobucket

Little A purposely gave that face..

Photobucket

RRRROOOOARRRRR ready to go!!!

Photobucket

Perfect weather, though a little sunny...

With ultra mega zoom on my iPhone cuz I was under the shade while the boys checked out people fishing.. Hurhur..

Left the park after lunch and headed to Raffles City.. Alvis napped there while we window shopped.. :)

For now...

I'm a stay-at-home-mum (SAHM)..
For about a month already, I've devoted all my time on our precious.. It is a pretty big change for I've been working full time after my maternity leave ever since we had Alvis. But when he fell sick about a month ago, it broke our hearts and I decided that he needs all the time and rest at home, for now...

Anyhow, being a SAHM or not, I've always been very conscious about the food he eats.. I guess most mothers are particular about feeding your child right. I've always insisted in giving my child healthy food because I believe whatever he eats now is what he will be when he grows. Just like how I believe whatever I ate during pregnancy is whatever that builds my child.. :)

So, it's pretty easy to prepare Alvis' meals I suppose. These ingredients are my so-called "core" ingredients that you can see most of the time in our fridge:

- Broccoli
- Pumpkin
- Carrot
- Spinach
- Tomato
- Potato
- Fish
- Nai Bai
- Cabbage
- Celery
- Huai Shan

and of course pork and chicken for that extra flavors..

His lunch is usually porridge, sometimes noodles like mee sua or macaroni. And his dinner is usually steamed rice, a soup (Must-have) and another side dish.. :)

An example of his lunch:

Photobucket

Porridge with pumpkin, broccoli and fish.. I think his favorite veggie is the broccoli!

Sometimes he'll have macaroni.. He loves this alot too!

Photobucket

His usual dinner:

Photobucket

Steamed pumpkin & spinach rice with ABC soup.. & his soup menu consists of the following as well:

- Lotus Root soup
- Chinese Cabbage soup
- Huai Shan soup
- Winter melon soup
- White Fungus with quail eggs soup
- Yellow cucumber soup

He loves soup alot, and that's why Soup Restaurant is his favorite restaurant. haha!

They may seem boring to you? hehe, but they sure are nutritional and yummy stuff! I enjoy preparing his meals, and I enjoy seeing him enjoying his food.

This was what he had for dinner earlier:

Yellow cucumber soup with his favorite steamed egg with tomatoes.

and he loved it!

Having said the above, of course he does has his fair bit of 'junk' food like ice-cream when we're out, biscuits and snacks. But the purpose of eating at home is eating healthy so as to balance off whatever we ate out that can never be compared to home-cooked food.

Photobucket

Love my boy, he's our darling. He'll come up to me and say "I love you" randomly when he's in the midst of playing his toys. That never fails to melt my heart. :P

I don't know what decision may come out of us tomorrow, whether I go back to work full-time or not, but for now, I just want to treasure the time I have in the world to be with him. He definitely deserves all the love we can give him.
