Farewell to Heather and Deric, for now...

Monday was Heather's last day and tomorrow is Deric's...
Just in one week, my team is down by 2 members.. :(

The team (Me, Anne and Sherine) did a farewell card for each of them, hand-written with a 8R photo we took together on my birthday surprise they gave me.. :)

We did a farewell lunch today at Chat Masala, our AVP's treat :), located at Upper East Coast Road..
They serve North Indian cuisine, the food's really yummy and in fact, it was the first time I actually really tasted North Indian food and liked it.

Navy Open House 2010

Hubby's off today (I just simply love his weekend offs), and we visited the Navy Open House 2010 at Changi Naval Base.

Hubby and I slept late last night and all of us woke up at 9am.. I was supposed to wake up at 7am to prepare Alvis' lunch to bring out but ya, I overslept. :P

Photobucket

The weather was very hot, the sun is as scorching as ever, with tons of Mustela sun protection cream I applied on Alvis baby, we got to the event..
Because today was the last day of the open house, it was pretty crowded..
We parked our car at Singapore Expo and took the chartered bus in.. Luckily hubby picked a good spot, our car was shaded. :)

Photobucket

It was our first time to the Navy Open House and despite traveling the distance and the trouble we had to take on shuttling there, it was an eye opener event and it was my first time seeing those ships. (sorry, besides calling those ships S-H-I-P-S, i don't know if they should be called differently) haha.

Hubby love told us to pose for a picture but Alvis baby refused to take his eyes off the ships thus... I posed for the camera myself! haha!

Photobucket

If not for the crazy weather, we could have taken more family photos. Standing a minute more under the sun not shaded hurts the skin so much.

Photobucket

I was glad we lugged the stroller there, at least Alvis baby could sit under the canopy with the fan at full speed.

Photobucket

Couldn't take the heat, I decided to give us ice-cream treats! Almost everybody was eating ice cream at the open house. haha..
Alvis baby was granted special permission today to have that much ice-cream, just for today. heh..

Photobucket

and he gestured 'good' to Daddy with the ice-cold-ice-cream in his mouth.. :)

Photobucket

Hubby said that this shot was the most difficult to capture as the flag was either flying the wrong direction or not fully spreaded..

Photobucket

Nice shot! :)
The flag was at its half for late Dr. Goh Keng Swee..

Photobucket

We didn't stay at the open house for long because we felt it was not very healthy to expose Alvis to the afternoon sun for too long.. we hurried off back to Singapore Expo and then headed to town to run some errands..

Had dinner at Shokudo and it was home sweet home.

Photobucket

Happy Sunday Family Day.

I hope Hubby will always get his 2 weekends off in a month, at least. hee..

I am gonna keep this blog as updated as before (when I managed our first blog)
I like how we have a journal of the past wonderful memories I've blogged..
But if time permits, I would really love to have a physical diary of our happy family...

Good night world.

with lots of love

*ps: i love how the pictures appear so big, i'm glad i finally achieved it. but its a tad too big, think the pictures got cut off a little. shall be perfect the next time i do it. :)

May 2010 updates...

May is almost ending, and here I am, finally, updating this neglected space of mine on my wonderful life this exciting month...

I've always love May.. one main reason is because it's my birthday month... :)

This year, my birthday was spent simply but yet happily..
Hubby love surprised me with a Bakerzin chocolate cake right at 12am when I was already conked out in bed right after I tucked Alvis baby to sleep at 9.30pm...
He came home from work with the little surprise and I bet it was easier for him to prepare the cake while I was asleep! (heh, i helped in the surprise for myself.. heehee)

We watched a movie, had lunch together, simple but what I've always asked for - just spending the day with him is what I wanna do on my birthday every year..
We picked Alvis baby up early and headed over to my dad's for pizza feast and to catch up with my dear siblings... (refer to pictures in the previous post)

I just love them... They made my life complete, they made who I've grown up to be today, they gave me my fond childhood memories, they will always grow with me. :)

Alright, here are some photos taken over May's weekends...

The new camera isn't that portable, isn't that compact, so we don't use the camera that as and when we want it.. Gonna get the old camera repaired one day so that I can continue to snap just like before..
Anyhow, we are loving the new camera. :)

Me and my precious lil one on a random evening after work.

Every evening before Alvis' bedtime, 3 of us would sit and gather around his playmat and play together right till the minute his milk was prepared and off we go to bed together...

-proudly lining up his mobiles for a photo

On another May weekend, we visited Alvis' great grandpa in Marine Parade..

After which, we headed off to United Square to take part in a Canon portrait contest.. (hope we can win another camera) hee..

Woke up from his 2+hr of nap at United Square...

My babyGAP model...

We went MOF for dinner.. but a pity Hubby love didnt really think the food was great...
On a second thought, I felt the same way too...

but nonetheless, we still enjoyed ourselves.. :)

We no longer shop for ourselves when we are out with Alvis baby..
We will always invade toys store together! heeehee...

Sometimes you can catch me walking quietly to the girls' section to check out the barbie dolls I used to have when I was a little girl.. haha..

That very same night, we met up with Uncle Huat..
It's been awhile since Alvis last met him, but still, the chemistry is there..
They both clique just like how Hubby love is best bud with Uncle Huat..

They played with each other just like they've known each other for lives...

They ate together...

They dazed together...

They communicate...

They laughed together... haha

Daddy's best friend is my best friend too.

my precious two...

they're always on top priority in my life...

April was good, May is better and I'm sure each month will just get better...

I can't express how much I am loving my life.. I just wanna thank all the Gods for everything I have and don't have...
My life is perfect from the way I look at it, I don't need you to think if my life is perfect, because no matter how much you doubt if my life is perfect, my life will still be perfect to me.

In December this year, we will be celebrating our 5 years anniversary of being husband and wife.. Together with the 2 years we were together before we got married, it adds up to a big 7 already... Can't believe in another 3 years time, we'll be together for a decade already! I can't wait.. I am so looking forward to all the years we'll be spending together...

And my dear, if you are reading this, I'm sure you remember, when we were getting married, I said I'll make you the most happiest man in the world and that we will build the world's cosiest and happiest home... :)

I love the people I love in my life. <3
