Our Friday evening was casual.. I picked Alvis baby up early and headed to town. Hubby Love was finishing work at 9pm, so me and A had 2+ hours to ourselves.
We first went to the Taka Toy Fair and it was crowded. The shoppers there were not considerate at all. There was this man who was blocking a narrow passageway and Alvis baby tried to move to the other side to take a look at some toy trucks, he looked at A and didn't move. Even after Alvis baby said pretty loudly "Mommmy, I can't pass leh", the man still remained motionless. I had to "Excuse Me" rudely then he walked away.
Because of the crowd, I brought A to Level 3 Toys Department. It was much more peaceful there. He was very attracted to The Sylvanian Family toy set, just like me when I was little. (Actually now I still like to look at the display each time I go to Taka :P) He stood there watching the display for the longest time, explaining to me what each section was, it was heart-warming. My little baby has grown to a young toddler who communicates with us actively. Everyday we definitely will have something about him to discuss and laugh together. Life like this is simply wonderful.
He got tired at 8.30pm already. Because I didn't bring the stroller out as I picked him up from work, we sat at a bench while waiting for Daddy during that last 30mins. We cuddled and watched Pocoyo on my iPhone. He giggled at some funny scenes and the man sitting next to us was amused by his laughters too.
He was the happiest to see Daddy out of the boutique. We went to Newton to pack some food and every sinful bit of calories is now in my stomach. Haha.. But I had vaccuumed and mopped the floor, hopefully most of it were shed off. :P
As much as I am loving Hubby's schedule this week, it is going to come to an end already. We were so pampered this week, the ferrying to and fro, I couldn't appreciate enough. When Daddy has to work afternoon shift next week, we know that we will miss evening time with him but I have not became less independent to bring Alvis baby home on my own, because my dearest papa will always be there. :)
Definitely gonna treasure the weekend very much. Tomorrow morning we will be going to Henderson Waves and I still have not decided on where to lunch. Will be home for Alvis baby to nap while I prepare his dinner. Scheduled to have his dinner at home at 5pm as we need to meet 6pm at Punggol with Hubby's secondary school classmates. He hasn't seen them for god-knows-how-many-donkey-years, haha! I know he is excited and looking forward, I am too. Hope it will be a good gathering.
Would most likely be going Fidgets on Sunday, and/or might be bringing Alvis baby to watch Despicable Me in cinema. I am still not sure to expose him to movie or not. :X But heard that it's only a short one, maybe we could just give it a try. :)
Anyhow, it is gonna be a good weekend for us. My hardworking hubby had washed both toilets and is now cleaning the car. Hope he will be back soon to rest.
I love how we sat down and eat together, talked about anything over food. That few minutes spent together sharing things we know with each other, makes however long and tiring a day worth it all.

Our Weekend Agenda
This weekend is definitely one of the best..
Hubby will be off on both days, we will be spending every minute of the 48 hours together. Woo-Hoo!!
Basically, we will be:
1. going to Henderson Waves
2. going to Fidgets
3. going for Hubby's secondary class mates reunion dinner on Saturday
4. still in the midst of planning.. :P
but, you can be sure that we will be enjoying the weekend to the fullest and after the weekend, I will be back with lotsa photos!!
Still yet to book our Hong Kong trip, but I know I have to do it soon so that I can grab hold of the best deal and not rush everything last minute. Whenever I ask Alvis if he wants to go to Hong Kong to see Mickey Mouse, he will tell me that he wants to go to Jakarta to look for Dennis kor-kor and Liwen ah-yi. Too bad they can't join us in this Hong Kong trip that we had initially planned to go together. But I know he will enjoy Hong Kong when he is there. :)
Alright, it's so freezing cold right now in the office that I am having discomfort typing with my cold fingers, I shall blog again tonight or over the weekend.

Little things that can make me very happy..
There are many little things in my world that can make me very happy effortlessly.
1. Hubby working morning shift on a Saturday:
that means that after Alvis baby's afternoon nap, we will usually make our way to town to meet the Daddy. <3
It was a rather wet Saturday.. It rained when Alvis baby was taking his nap. At about 5pm, it stopped and there was a little bit of sun. While I let Alvis baby snack on his organic raisins and watch Chuggington, I quickly prepared to move out..

Ok, all ready.
He was an angel that late afternoon. He helped with changing, with preparing and with getting the stroller out of the house. When Daddy is not with us, I can sense the extra helpfulness, consideration and cooperation in him. :)
He ate out with us for dinner that evening... Went to Imperial Treasure after checking Sushi Tei, which was packed and with a long queue.
As you can see, we were stomping in.. haha. H U N G R Y
Daddy was still snapping, we were already reaching our table.
We ordered a fried rice, braised hor fun and another veggie dish...
While waiting for the food to be served..

Even though the angle made my face looked damn round in the picture below, I still wanna share it with all my readers. :)
Hahaha.. As round as a full moon. :P
After dinner, I went for my waxing appointment while the boys walked around Wheelock..
The therapist was, as usual, shocked to know that I am already married with a kid. Haha. That day, someone on the street asked if I am 18 years old. A cabbie thought I am only 20 and was shocked to see me with Alvis baby on one random morning. This therapist couldn't believe that I am 24, let alone believe I have a 2 yr old son, and married for almost 5 years. Seriously, I frankly, don't think I look that young. I must have been real on luck these days, people just kept flooding me with compliments.
We then headed over to Ion, bought some drinks and then back to Tangs to get our car. Alvis baby sang all the way home. :)
My Sunday was a pleasant one. Except for bedtime, which I will fill you in later.
I was indulging in my Cadbury on my sofa when my prince shouted for me to announce him waking up from his nap. Good timing, because I was nearly finishing the whole bar during that short 20mins. Lucky he saved me in time.
I prepared macaroni for him. He ate it dilligently but didn't finish all. I didn't want to stress over it but was a little disappointed, thinking that my pasta wasn't that appetizing after all.. He looked at me with his hands on my head as I was cleaning his mouth and told me "Delicious" and stroke my hair. My, I nearly cried at that moment.
His pasta I cooked with all my love. :)
Wholesome of nutrients. Spinach, mushroom, carrot, potato and some very rare crab sticks..
Ingredients-overdose, maybe? :P
We spent our evening happily anyway. He sat by the window watching the cars that went by... Spotting every car he could..
My darling. Love him so much. He's so caring these days, we sometimes wonder if he has really grown into a big obedient boy.
Love his priceless smile and chuckles..
But dont really like his "No" and whining. :P

Then suddenly decided to do some writing...

"Mommy's turn"
A not-so-glam photo of me. :X He requested to take a photo together. :)
We went to Compass Point because I thought of buying him some new Play-Doh moulds and accessories.. Shopping was ok, we had fun at the toys department. Walking home was breeze..until bedtime.. He finished his milk and turned into a monster. He rolled on bed, walked on the bed here and there, kicked the quilt, made some noise, laughed out loud, talked alot, and only fell asleep 1 hour later after I scolded him and shouted at him.
I felt terrible. He cried, but that was when he knew that he really had to sleep.
I was almost crying as I watched him drifted off to sleep.. My heart was aching..
I apologized to him and explained that I didn't meant to scold him, I want him to be a good boy.
And he nodded his head in his sleep, my heart went sour. :(
Then I quickly got up and prepared Hubby's supper.. I had told him that I would make him pasta..
So here it is.. His very heavy supper at 11pm. :P
It was very nice, to be honest. I am very pleased that he finished up everything, almost, leaving only some noodles left cuz it was simply too much.
Bought a new pair of shoes just now for Alvis baby. He spotted this at Metro and commented that he wants something like Daddy's. And his old osh-kosh was a tad too small already, so I got him his first pair of Converse.

Can't wait for the weekend to put his new shoes on for my prince. :)

Yes. My hubby is on morning shift this whole of the week, off on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday! This is the most ideal schedule I could ever ask for. This also means that we could spend all the time off work together, family-bonding, dinners together. I can't wait for the week ahead but at the same time, praying that time will slow down so that this week could last forever. <3
3. Hubby's endless smiles
I had quite a long Sunday. That 1 hour to put Alvis baby to bed was the most energy-draining 1 hour the whole of today. He stayed out because I had previously texted him to tell him not to come into the room as I didn't want to distract Alvis baby further. His sweetest smiles to me lifted off all the tiredness that were on me. He gave me a pat on the shoulder and all those smiles just spelt out how much he appreciated everything. It was unexplainable but I am thankful for that. <3
and..there are many other itsy bitsy things that please me all the time without fail and I hope that you have your little things in life that can make you very happy because its these little things that can make you go a long way.

Marina Bay Sands
-9th July 2010-
It was a Friday evening.. Hubby was off and my two darlings fetched me from work. I always look forward to seeing him downstairs. I would always try to speed across the road to his car in my highest heels, of course always praying that I don't trip and fall. :P That evening, I waited for them at the porch, I was delighted to see them both. :)
Hubby had planned to dine at Marina Square, then walked over to Marina Bay Sands because I had yet to be there and then walked back to Marina Square to get our car. I was very excited because it was my first time there.
We wanted to dine at Pu-Tien but the waiting time was approximately 40mins.. Went over to Waraku (not that we like Waraku that much, we don't have much choice), it was crowded as well. Last resort was to Cafe Cartel. We were seated almost immediately but the food took the longest time ever to come. The restaurant was super short-handed.
After dinner, sped over to Marina Bay Sands.
Hubby wanted to try taking night shots there..
It was rather tough, his first time there at night, plus he "manual-everything" so kinda hard to get the best color, best effect, but I felt it was a great first try. :)
And because it was at night, either his hands must be super steady or the object must be super stationary, it was pretty hard to capture Alvis in the sharpest clearest effect.
Nonetheless, I still love the pictures.
Using the free tripod we got when we purchased the camera. Not the best quality tripod but good enough to capture a family photo without the help of others. :)
Alvis and I were self-entertaining ourselves alot while Hubby was snapping away...
We disturbed him when he was focusing on the scenery, to take photos for us. :P
Alvis baby was extra cheeky that day.. He came up with funny poses, had lotsa fun walking and running around and posing for Daddy of course.
Our cheeky, cannot-remain-still boy. :)

Your eyes are not playing any trick with you. My Alvis baby ran in and out and in again while we posed for the camera. He stood by himself and then happily ran away and came back to stand at that exact position. But because of the camera mode, it required the object to be stationary for at least 5secs, therefore the effect of Alvis baby on the 2 photos were like shadow -.-"
Though our lovey-dovey picture were spoilt, it never fails to make me laugh each time I look at it.

Finally we reached the shopping arcade...
Air-con was shiok-est to the max! hahaha..
Surprised to see many labels there. Because it was rather late already, we didn't really shop... Went to Tiffany to visit Hubby's colleague..
And Alvis baby was acting shy in front of Damien..
Stuck to Daddy like super glue.. Hubby had to force put him on the table to rest his arms..
Still acting shy. LOL.
We went home shortly after that. Took a public bus back to Marina Square to get the car cuz were too tired to walk back, it was a great experience and both Hubby and me agreed that we shall go there again very soon to explore further.
