It's gonna be a busy March...

March is looking pretty busy.. So many programs I'm so afraid I might just miss something out..

6th March - March'08 babies birthday bash
9th March - Bro's birthday
12th March - Cousin & Dennis coming back for 2 weeks vacation
13th March - Alvis' 3rd birthday party
18th March - Alvis' actual birthday, we're going to the Disney on Ice show!
26th March - Seeing the cousin off..

Just the first 3 weeks already enough to keep me very busy. With Alvis baby's birthday party still in the midst of preparation, I can't help but feel I'm racing against time.. Anyhow, I'm confident everything will turn out smoothly and we're so gonna enjoy March big time.

March started off very "comfortably" for us.. (or rather me :P) because of my first pair of Fitflop!!



Trust me these are good stuff!



Love the blings on my feet.

Yes, they may not be as "trendy" and young looking as compared to Birkenstock, but they are more comfortable than Birks. I'm wearing these wherever I go, especially to places that require me lotsa walking. I feel like I'm walking on cushion, I hope it'll really work my butt and legs muscle so I feel less ache on my back.

We celebrated Mum's 50th birthday on 1st March. She was surprised, happy and I'm sure, touched as well. We arranged for a small bouquet to be delivered to her workplace and had everyone waiting for her at home with a cake.



Alvis knew it was 外婆's birthday but was more excited than he was at his 2nd birthday party. Haha!



He can't wait for the candles to be lit, can't wait for the birthday song to be sang, and can't wait to cut the cake.

The bouquet was indeed small but exquisite. I love the pearls the florist string around it (can't see the details in any of the pictures)





Alvis was beaming throughout the 2 birthday songs we sang! I hope he will do the same on his own birthday and won't be too shy.







and of course, he cut the cake faster than my mum could manage. lol

Wanted to walk the Henderson Waves on Thursday but the weather didn't allow. We had no choice but to go and seek shelter at Vivocity while Alvis napped. We also checked out the Sentosa Boardwalk - the latest link that connects you from Vivo to Sentosa on your feet!

Our February ended on a happy note, it has been a good month!

Post-USS Fever!



We bought identical tees (me & Alvis) and he requested to wear them the next day after our USS outing..

Soup Restaurant for dinner... We dine at Soup Restaurant about 80% of the time we dine out, but it was the first time that day that we tried this dish:



No joke, it was fantastic. Meat was soft and melts away in your mouth with every bite and I love 馒头, especially fried ones.

Didn't get to take any pictures when we were out, so took a few pictures of me and Alvis baby in our matching tops before we changed out. <3





& the next day, he wore his flipflops around in the house..



He wasn't angry by the way. He was playing around and making funny faces. Silly boy. :)







Cute. And he knows they are for going to the beach.

It has been a good stay-home-month.. We enjoyed every off day out with the daddy.. Love spending quality family time together..

Universal Studios Singapore 26th Feb 2011

Are you ready???!!!! Here's my spread of our day at Universal Studios on 26th February 2011.

I was busy doing my makeup in the car and before I knew it, we were already reaching. I quickly dug out my camera and took a picture of us approaching..

1st stop: Welcome to Madagascar!

But when the carousel started moving, he was fine.. This little boy sometimes is just too timid and afraid to try new things. Had to always force him to have a go on it then only he will know he likes it.. Anyhow, it was just a pretty straight-forward carousel, nothing fantastic, won't spend time re-queuing. Hehe..

After we were done with the carousel, it was the Madagascar characters photo-taking session. We had another group photo with the penguins. I don't watch the movie, so I have no idea what their names are. I only know the lion, the giraffe, and the

penguins. :P



2nd stop: Far Far Away

It was Shrek's home first..



I can't help but always feel that Adam's action looks more like holding a pile of sh*t above his head..

We headed for the Donkey Live Show as we were all so warm, a little bit of aircon would be like heaven.









Donkey Live show was alright, pretty entertaining and engaging.. I was expecting a donkey mascot though. haha

We had lunch at the Discovery Foodcourt

Typical foodcourt food, the usual chicken rice, noodles, ayam penyet.. Got a kid's meal for Alvis and had a cute woodpecker lunchbox free..

3rd stop: The Lost World



Hubby, sis & Adam went to queue for the Canopy Flyer while I tend to Alvis.. Not wanting to stand there and wait and waste time, I brought him to the Dino-Soarin' ride!



While we were queuing, grabbed Alvis for a photo single-handedly..



It was tough, managing his weight, the camera and the wind. haha!

& I managed to take a picture for them before they went on their ride. :P



It was the first time Alvis went on a proper ride, hubby took tons of photos of us on the dinosaur. hehe

He did well for this ride, better than the carousel. He enjoyed it alot but we had to proceed on to the next stop before he had his nap.

Went back to check the waiting time for Shrek 4D show and it was not very long so off we went to catch it just before his nap.

This was more interesting than the Donkey Live show actually. hehe.. we "felt" spiders dropping on our legs and water squirting at our faces!!

4th stop: Ancient Egypt

Sis & bf went for "Revenge of the Mummy" first, had to take turns looking after sleeping Alvis..

Poor thing they had to stand on stilts. haha

and when it was our turn to go for the Mummy ride, I was so afraid cuz my sis told me it was good. GOOD means must be damn thrilling.. When hubby & I was queuing for the ride, I was so nervous, I didn't know what to anticipate. But anyhow, the ride WAS GREAT! hehe.. I screamed a little, felt my butt lifted the seat and my heart nearly came out, but it was a great ride. :D

Went to join them at The Goldilocks Cafe having their Ben&Jerry icecream while waiting for us..



They went to queue for the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure while we went on to the next stop. :)

5th stop: Hollywood

We were just in time for the rock-n-roll musical at Pantages Hollywood Theater, lucky us!







It was an awesome show! The performers could all sing and dance very well! Very entertaining and fantastic music and visuals. Looking at how well the "stars" danced, I couldn't help but wished I could go back and learn dancing again. :P

Anyhow, we waited for Sis & Adam to join us after their rides. Alvis baby had fun posing with the vintage cars along the streets of Hollywood.

It was almost 5.30pm by the time we were done with all the photos-taking, we had to hurriedly finish up New York and Sci-Fi City and head out for dinner.

6th stop: Sci-fi City





It was close to 6pm, and it started to pour. Very lucky that we were all done with the whole park and heading out for dinner. And we were also at the part of the park where it was sheltered. :)

It was a happy happy day, an ultimate USS experience. A day filled with love, fun and enjoyment!

Wanted to go nex for korean bbq but was afraid it would be very late by the time we reached there so went to Vivo to settle our dinner. Famished after a long day!

It was a PERFECT day out, no words can describe how much we've enjoyed ourselves. Gonna thank the company for the tickets and my sis & Adam for spending on their tickets to join us. SIMPLY AWESOME!

Just as I was blogging this, I could still feel the excitement we had that day. Hangover. 8)
