Our Alvis baby's 2nd Birthday Celebration Part I

The night prior to the birthday party, was a very busy night.. :P

I quickly finished up my late dinner cum supper that Hubby bought on his way home after work...

As I had a list of work to do (please refer to the post below)

First, I mopped the floor twice squeaky clean..
Then I rested a few minutes because I was panting after mopping the whole place.. :P

I laid out all the decorations we bought at Toys R Us...
This year's theme was "Thomas & Friends" as many of you would have guessed..

We managed to get Thomas Happy Birthday Banner, Thomas Balloons, Thomas Party Hats, Thomas Table Cover..
The only thing I couldnt get in local stores was the backdrop that we could stick on the wall for photography... Kinda disappointed but it's alright, we can always get it again for future parties..

As Hubby was still busy cleaning the house, I decided to start with the balloons first..

I bought this $8 pump from Toys R Us, hoping that it would ease the process of inflating the balloons...

Initially I was still enjoying pumping...

After about less than 10 balloons, my palms were so sore pumping the balloons and exerting too much force...

I thought I was quite smart to think of putting the pump on my toes and do pushing actions..
It was really less tiring for me...

BUT, the pump spoilt on that very green balloon.. -.-"
I was so sad, how I wished i had that pump the balloon people came with to decorate last year's birthday party...

When Hubby was done with cleaning... He helped me with the balloons..
He blew the balloons faster than I pumped...
I thought it was kinda efficient to blow manually, so, for the first time, I put that rubbery thing into my mouth and blew up alot of balloons!

There we had...
Thomas Happy Birthday Banner with balloons...

Thomas Table Cover for cake cutting on dining table..

Thomas blue balloon..
and there were the green Percy ones and red James ones too... :P

Along our living room window...

Time check: 2.35am after hanging everything up...

Doing final touches...

Thanks to my iTunes, playing my favorite songs through out the night while we worked busily...

We were so proud with our DIY decorations, not the best, but already the best to us.

We slept at close to 4am.. Very tired, but silently very satisfied with our hard work.. :P
I went to bed praying that the party would turn out well with good food and cake for the guests.. :)

to be cont'd... Our Alvis baby's 2nd Birthday Celebration Part II
