Alvis baby, after his nap opening his red packets and presents..

Didn't took much photos with our camera cuz was too busy handling the guests..
It was the first time we had so many people at our place.. so kinda nervous and were busy making sure that all was comfortable..
We still need to improve on hosting, definitely.. haha..
Shall wait for Junwei to pass me the photos on his DSLR..

Nonetheless, I was so glad that nothing went wrong throughout the party..
The cake was yummy, food was delicious..
Weather was a little hot and the Ice Lemon Tea wasn't that thirst quenching..
But other than that, I was so happy we did it for Alvis baby...

All the hardwork we put in blowing the balloons by ourselves, having 2 balloons burst on me and a spoilt pump, it was all worth it...

Here's cheering to myself, my Hubby and all the guests...
Thanks for making the party a success!
Thank you all for the gifts and red packets..

Toasting everyone...with my Fuji Apple Drink.. haha..
(k la, almost same color as Champagne)

Alvis baby's actual birthday is on the 18th of March...
As per last year's practice, we will be celebrating his actual day birthday on our own...
We did Zoo on his last year's actual birthday...
What shall we do this year?

Stay tune to find out! :)

Our Alvis baby's 2nd Birthday Celebration Part I

The night prior to the birthday party, was a very busy night.. :P

I quickly finished up my late dinner cum supper that Hubby bought on his way home after work...

As I had a list of work to do (please refer to the post below)

First, I mopped the floor twice squeaky clean..
Then I rested a few minutes because I was panting after mopping the whole place.. :P

I laid out all the decorations we bought at Toys R Us...
This year's theme was "Thomas & Friends" as many of you would have guessed..

We managed to get Thomas Happy Birthday Banner, Thomas Balloons, Thomas Party Hats, Thomas Table Cover..
The only thing I couldnt get in local stores was the backdrop that we could stick on the wall for photography... Kinda disappointed but it's alright, we can always get it again for future parties..

As Hubby was still busy cleaning the house, I decided to start with the balloons first..

I bought this $8 pump from Toys R Us, hoping that it would ease the process of inflating the balloons...

Initially I was still enjoying pumping...

After about less than 10 balloons, my palms were so sore pumping the balloons and exerting too much force...

I thought I was quite smart to think of putting the pump on my toes and do pushing actions..
It was really less tiring for me...

BUT, the pump spoilt on that very green balloon.. -.-"
I was so sad, how I wished i had that pump the balloon people came with to decorate last year's birthday party...

When Hubby was done with cleaning... He helped me with the balloons..
He blew the balloons faster than I pumped...
I thought it was kinda efficient to blow manually, so, for the first time, I put that rubbery thing into my mouth and blew up alot of balloons!

There we had...
Thomas Happy Birthday Banner with balloons...

Thomas Table Cover for cake cutting on dining table..

Thomas blue balloon..
and there were the green Percy ones and red James ones too... :P

Along our living room window...

Time check: 2.35am after hanging everything up...

Doing final touches...

Thanks to my iTunes, playing my favorite songs through out the night while we worked busily...

We were so proud with our DIY decorations, not the best, but already the best to us.

We slept at close to 4am.. Very tired, but silently very satisfied with our hard work.. :P
I went to bed praying that the party would turn out well with good food and cake for the guests.. :)

Preparations..

The party is just less than 24hours away...
Today we're on night shift...
I need to:

- Mop my 110sqm floor...
- Pump all the balloons...
- Hang up all the banners...
- Tie all the balloons to the respective areas...
- Prepare Alvis' outfit.. (He'll be wearing Alex ah gu's 1st Birthday gift last year) haha...
- Prepare my outfit (not that i will be wearing very nice la)

Ok, it's not a very big party, but to me, it's so important that I'm already getting butterflies in my stomach...
It's the first time so many people are coming to our super humble pad..
I just hope the guests will have a comfortable time here...

Pardon our small TV tomorrow... :P
(maybe you will want to chip in to our "Buy a 40" FULL HD LCD TV Fund")

Alright, I am now waiting for Hubby to come home with my late dinner or maybe supper..
After I've eaten full full, I have to start work already!

I can't wait to get my butt moving!!
I can't wait to decorate our place!! :)

The Birthday Party...

Alvis baby is turning 2 next week and we'll be celebrating his birthday this Saturday 13th March at our humble pad..

It is just a small and private event, close relatives and friends we've invited this time round..

As compared to last year's 1st birthday, definitely this year's of a lower scale, but I'm sure quality beats quantity. We can still have the most enjoyable birthday party with a smaller group of guests. :)

As many of you would have guessed this year's birthday theme correctly... It's of course none other than "Thomas & Friends" theme...

Cake and caterer settled, I have these few days to get all the themed decorations ready. Luckily, I'm already sure where to buy them from.. Save hunting time...

The mummy with the big head trying on that small little party hat.
Hope this weekend's party goes well..
See you people, those who will be coming, thanks for making the party happen... :)

1st weekend of March 2010

=6th March 2010, Saturday=

We hurried to the market, to Compass Point to get some groceries and McDonald's for Breakfast Deluxe and then came back home just in time for the Daddy to leave for work.

Alvis baby and Mummy home on a Saturday afternoon...
Bored of the toys, no TV-time with Mummy, we did some coloring!

As usual, Alvis baby is more interested in the crayons then to literally COLOR.

Alvis baby likes to ask: "Mummy, what color is this?"

Differentiating the different colors...

Coloring....

Taught Alvis baby how to write his name...

So proud of his work!

Alvis baby suggested that we stuck that piece of artwork on the wall so Daddy could have a look at it when he got home...

Mummy helped with some blu-tack.

Alvis baby then instructed me to get the camera and take photos of him.
(yes, he will say he wants to take photo)

Then it was naptime.
Alvis baby napped 3 hours that afternoon.. How pleasing..

After noon shower, baby requested to take photo with that "3" artwork..
Can tell he was really proud of it, though I helped with coloring 80% of it..

Bored at home and super warm, Mummy decided to head town to wait for Daddy plus enjoy the free aircon at the malls....

We took the train... Not bad, air con was quite powerful.. :P

Trying to open his water bottle outside the boutique..
I like this picture, has got the effect that a DSLR can achieve...almost.

haha, ok, not really. :P

I was puzzled why he wanted to kneel down outside the boutique and requested to take picture..

I really have no idea why.. haha..
it was quite funny and it caught many shoppers' attention...

Funny face...

Trying to tell a shopper...
"My mom made me do this!"

We had fun, though the weather was super unbearable.

On a side note, bought this set of Thomas & Friends bedsheet real cheap...
Alvis baby was thrilled to see it..

Is this the reason why he fell asleep so fast these 2 nights? :P

I simply love weekends with Alvis baby. <3<3<3
