I made a mistake in the previous post. He is turning 29 months old today and not 28. :P
Anyhow, I still find myself counting and remembering all the 18th of the months even though 2 years 5 months have passed. I don't really put his growth against any chart or guidelines because I believe each child grows at their own pace and every child is different. I always love to let him learn in the most fun way possible.
At 29months old, he is very verbal and has been starting to speak at a very young age. Because my aunt speaks to him mostly in Mandarin, he is very well versed in Mandarin which I am proud of. He speaks so fluently in sentences so much so that I forgot he is only 2yrs and 4 months old. He learns most of his vocabulary in English and can speak in English sentences too. Out of the 26 alphabets, there are still a few that he cannot recognize but honestly speaking, I do not go through the chart with him so often to make him remember.
He loves cars. His love for cars is unexplainable at such a young age. Maybe it runs in the blood. Hubby loves cars. The number of cars models that Alvis can remember is way more than how much I know about automobiles. He can also easily spot any car he likes from a very far distance and me and Hubby always have to ask him "Where?".
He greets everyone readily and knows who to address as what. He never fails to say Good Morning Mommy, Good Morning Daddy every morning and he is very generous with his kisses and hugs. He sometimes strokes our heads too and pats us gently when we hug. He is a little sweetheart and will always pout his lips ready for me when I say I want to kiss him. :)
I always make it a point on the 18th of every month to thank whoever I need to thank for making every part of my motherhood rewarding and enjoyable. The no.1 person I need to thank greatly is no other than my husband. We created this gem and have always been proud of it since then. Never will I forget whatever he has done as a husband and a father. All the nightfeeds, diapers change, bath times, play times he has done with Alvis baby, all the household chores we always do together, the toilets he washes every week, I am definitely, certainly proud of him.
I bet Alvis baby is proud of such a daddy. May Alvis baby always be happy growing under our arms of love and care. May he continue to grow healthily, strong and safe. He will always be our bundle of joy and of what we have learnt from him, it's priceless.
