It was a long-awaited getaway, a long-awaited holiday.
Our 2nd overseas trip as a family, Alvis baby just loves plane rides.
We each brought a camera and captured 台北 through our own point of view, but in order for the blog entry to run in sequence, I've decided not to differentiate the photos between me and my hubby's camera. Thus, presenting here, to you, in the best picture order I can arrange, our 台北 trip, with love!
Day 1 - 23rd October 2010, Saturday
Flight: 1340, Eva Airways
Duration: 4 hr 30mins approx.

We grabbed a bite at Subway before our flight..

and yes, we brought a bagful of his toy cars to accompany him throughout the trip..

Keeping himself occupied by looking out at planes while waiting to board..

Boarded, in Rayban.. hehe..

By the time we reached 桃园机场, it was already 5.30pm, almost time for dinner.
We grabbed some light bites at the 7-eleven in the airport (we didn't had much choices) and headed to 富豪Hotel located at 大安.
Us in the hotel room...

I was very pleased and satisfied with the hotel room. It was clean, comfortable and cosy..
The junction right next to our hotel..

First meal was at this Chinese restaurant just around the corner..

and... my KOI was just nearby.. hehe..

Their 小笼包

I think our Imperial Treasure's nicer.. :P
This was good...

The very healthy fried rice

After dinner, I was so eager to go get a cuppa KOI.. :P

We walked around the neighborhood and returned back to hotel for a good night's rest before conquering Taipei City!
Day 2 - DaAn->Taipei City Hall->Taipei 101->ZhongShan->Ximen
It was a sunny day, weather was alright with slight humidity.. Hubby had a few boutiques to visit and we did our best to locate them..

Some landscape shots taken by hubby..

Was early when we reached Dior Homme, shop was still closed.. :P

At DaAn LV Boutique..

Right after we snapped this photo, the sales associate came out and told us that photography was not allowed.. thank god for fast shutters!
Passed by a pretty cool boutique hotel..

and then headed to 101 to have our lunch..

Alvis baby saw some teens doing star jumps taking photographs and he wanted to do the same!

<3
This was what Alvis baby had at 101..

spaghetti with codfish..
Daddy had something more 'local'

Along the street of Taipei City Hall..

Alvis baby napped in the stroller while we shopped at Mitsukoshi..

He loves to look at the fish display at La Mer counters, even in Singapore.. hehe
Dinner that night was at one restaurant in one of their Mitsukoshi malls. hee, i forgot the name of the restaurant..

Alvis baby's

His kid's meal

We were pretty busy that night because we searched high and low for a Birkenstock boutique to look for a particular sandals for Hubby only to be told that they do not have stock citywide.. Thus we settled for an alternative design and bought an identical pair. :)

My hubby, always giving funny faces when taking photographs. :P

Ximending at night!

Dope!

Just like what they say, it's like a mini Tokyo there!

See that Sushi display on the wall?
We went there for Sushi twice throughout the whole stay cuz they serve really good and fresh sushi at super cheap prices. I think NT30 for each plate!!

Something interesting..

The bustling Ximending..

Our newly-bought sandals. :)

and he did this at ALL the escalators we passed by in Taipei.

Our darling ready for bed second night in Taipei.

Day 3 - Taipei Zoo
It was a Monday and we had planned to visit the Taipei Zoo. There must be something for Alvis baby to be fair isnt it? :)
We had breakfast at our hotel and waited at the train station while Daddy ran over to Starbucks and grabbed a Cranberry muffin for Alvis baby in case he needed something to snack on before we went for lunch after visiting the zoo..

Little Alvis reading the map!

and told me on where we should go.. :P

Their MRT system is really convenient, we reached Taipei Zoo in no time!

I think at least 5 times bigger than ours. :S

Alright, prepare yourself for a galore of pictures...
Not so much on us though.. haha..

by the way, the weather started to turn cold that day..

Asking questions about Panda..

He went round hugging whichever he wanted to!

A panda in red hoodie..

He loves them!

One whole empire of them
